Speakers are professionals in design and typography.
Content includes diverse and underrepresented topics in visual communications.
Students create and produce invitations as part of the course work for these events

This initiative will develop an information portal with content from past talks and present research generated by the student participant
Type Talks discussion series objectives:
- Populate the new Type Talk portal with past and future content related to research
- Increase the scope and frequency of this series.
- Create a multifaceted and multidisciplinary discussion forum for collaboration and education.
- Outreach to fellow faculty and students for participants to create collaborative awareness for the AOS program and Pratt community.
- Plan to open a channel of dialogue between the Pratt community and local, national and global participants.
Student outcome for the duration of this program:
Research diverse designers globally for inclusion in online lecture series. The student grant participant will perform: outreach, promotion and coordination of the series.
